Terms

The terms for buying and using Dashtop Pro, in plain English.

Last updated 26 October 2026

Who we are

Dashtop is made by TrueWidgets, a trading name of Loom Factor Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 15942000. Registered office: Unit 12 Wood Street, County Workshops, Dewsbury, England, WF13 1QU. Loom Factor Limited is the seller of Dashtop Pro and the provider of the app and this website. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean Loom Factor Limited. Contact: hello@truewidgets.com.

What you are buying

Dashtop is a desktop app that shows the costs and health of the developer tools you connect to it. Dashtop Pro is a subscription for a license to use it. There is one plan, with no feature tiers: once the free trial is over, the license decides whether Dashtop keeps refreshing your data.

The free trial

Dashtop includes a 14-day free trial. It starts the first time you open the app on a computer, needs no card and no account, and gives you the full app. After 14 days without a license, Dashtop still shows the data it has already saved but stops refreshing it. Nothing is deleted.

Price and billing

  • Dashtop Pro costs $12 a month or $96 a year, in US dollars.
  • Prices are shown before any VAT or sales tax. If tax applies to your purchase, it is shown at checkout before you pay.
  • You pay through Stripe Checkout.
  • Your subscription renews automatically every month or every year, depending on the plan you chose, until you cancel it.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time. In Dashtop, click the lock icon in the top bar and choose Manage subscription. This opens the Stripe customer portal, where you can cancel the subscription and change your card.

When a subscription has ended, its license key stops working the next time Dashtop checks it. A key that passed its last check keeps working offline for up to 14 days.

Refunds and your legal rights

If you think you were charged by mistake, or you want to ask about a refund, email hello@truewidgets.com from the address you paid with.

If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the law, including any right to cancel a purchase or to a remedy if the software is faulty.

Your license

  • When you buy, you get a license key. One key can be active on up to 3 computers at the same time.
  • To move to a new computer, deactivate the old one first: in Dashtop, click the lock icon in the top bar, choose Deactivate and confirm. If you can no longer reach the old computer, email us.
  • The license lets you use Dashtop. It does not transfer ownership of the software.
  • Keep your key private. If you lose it, the Lost your license key? page sends it again.

Using Dashtop

  • You connect Dashtop to other services, such as Vercel, Stripe or GitHub, with API keys that you create yourself. You are responsible for those keys and for following each service's own terms.
  • Dashtop shows figures that come from those services. Where a figure is an estimate, the card says so. Check a provider's own dashboard before you rely on a number for a billing or business decision.
  • Product names and logos shown in Dashtop and on this website belong to their owners. Dashtop is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

Availability

We update Dashtop's connectors when providers change their APIs, but we cannot promise that every connector will work at all times, because that depends on the providers' own services.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

Your data

How we handle personal data is described in the privacy policy.

Changes and governing law

If we change these terms, we will post the new version here with a new date. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
